Let’s be honest, the hype is huge. Type “build me a to-do app in React” into [ChatGPT](chatgpt.com) or [Gemini](https://gemini.google.com), and you’ll get working code in seconds. Paste it into your editor, and voilà, an app appears. No developer, no invoices, no deadlines. Sounds great, right?

But that’s not how real software works.

Most applications are not to-do lists. They involve **third-party integrations**, **complex logic**, **user authentication**, **business rules**, **edge cases**, **responsive design**, and **scalability**. And no AI tool today can handle all of that without human guidance.

So, AI is impressive. It can write lines of code, generate design systems, and even build entire components from a single prompt. So it’s no surprise that many business owners, especially non-technical ones, are wondering:

> “Why do I need a dev team when AI can do it faster and cheaper?”

Fair question. But here’s the thing:

**AI can help you start building an app. It just can’t help you finish one that works reliably, handles real users, or scales with your business.**

Even the companies investing the most into AI ([Meta](https://www.meta.com/), [Microsoft](https://www.microsoft.com), [Google](https://ai.google/)) are keeping their best developers. They're not replacing them with prompts. They’re equipping them with smarter tools. Why? Because high-performing engineers who know how and when to use AI are now more valuable than ever. When [Meta restructured in 2025](https://nypost.com/2025/02/11/business/meta-lays-off-4k-workers-as-some-claim-they-received-glowing-reviews-just-last-year-report/), the focus wasn’t on removing developers, it was on retaining the most capable ones.

At Ncoded Solutions, we incorporate AI into parts of our development workflow, and yes, it’s great for speeding up repetitive tasks and getting quick code suggestions. But when things get complex, when an app needs to be stable, secure, fast, and scalable, that’s where real developer experience still makes all the difference. So, AI is not here to replace developers. It's here to raise the bar.

## What AI can do well?

Let’s give credit where it’s due. Today’s AI tools can:

* Generate boilerplate code for common tasks
* Translate code between programming languages
* Suggest bug fixes and explain errors
* Help junior devs speed up their learning curve
* Act as a fast, always-available pair programmer

Yes, these tools **increase productivity**.
Yes, they **reduce development costs**.
And yes, hey make **software more accessible**.

But they **don’t understand your product**. They don’t know your users. And they don’t know what matters specifically for your business.

## Where AI falls short

While AI can write code, it still can’t think like a developer...

It doesn’t ask questions. It doesn’t clarify vague requirements. It doesn’t push back when a feature makes no sense. It just writes what you ask, whether or not it fits your product, users, or long-term goals.

Here’s where it breaks down:

* **No understanding of your business logic.**
AI doesn’t know why you need something, it just guesses what you mean based on patterns. Business rules? Special workflows? Internal terminology? Those all come from conversations with stakeholders, not code generators.

* **It can't architect your app.**
This is crucial. Should you use **serverless** or **monolith**? When to optimize for speed vs cost? AI won’t help you make those strategic decisions. It can give you options, but it can’t judge what’s best for your context...

* **Missing edge cases and real-world scenarios.**
AI-generated code often works in the happy path, but what happens when something goes wrong? Users input weird data? Network request fails? Multiple systems interact? Those situations are where real experience matters.

* **No accountability.**
When something breaks, you can’t tell ChatGPT: “Hey, this crashed my app, fix it!” It won’t debug your logs or stay up all night with your dev team before a launch. That’s what developers do, right?

* **Security and compliance risks.**
AI doesn't know the legal, ethical, or security standards your app must meet. It may suggest insecure code or use outdated libraries without understanding the consequences. A good developer catches that. AI doesn’t.

So while AI might look like it knows what it's doing, in reality, it’s just **stitching together pieces from public codebases**. It doesn’t understand why things work. And in software development, that’s a big problem.

Because your app isn't just a technical project, it's a business investment.

### Vibe coding 🤔

The rise of AI tools has even inspired a new term among people: [vibe coding](https://x.com/karpathy/status/1886192184808149383).
It describes the experience of using AI to generate code without fully understanding it, just hoping it works.

This feels like a bad vibe 😅

It’s a fun way to explore and learn. But when you’re building something serious, something that handles real data, money, users, you can’t afford to rely on trial-and-error AI guesswork. That’s when you need developers who understand the system behind the code.

### Accountability

When you're building something serious, a **fintech app**, a **healthcare platform**, a **booking system**, code isn't just about functionality. It's about trust.

If your app crashes or exposes sensitive user data, the worst thing you can say is:
> “Sorry, the AI made a mistake… and we’re not sure why.”

Let’s be real, you’ve probably had this situation at least once. You asked ChatGPT something, got a confident answer, and then, when you pushed back with *“Are you sure?”*, it immediately changed its tone and said: 
> “Apologies, you’re completely right.”

That’s fine for fun facts or brainstorming. But in software that runs a real business?
**You don’t want apologies. You want answers.**

With traditional, human-written code, **every decision can be traced**. 
Every function, every variable, every security layer. Someone made that call, and someone can explain or improve it.

With AI-generated code, that trail can disappear.
No context. No logic behind the choice. Just output from a model trained on code it didn’t write, and doesn’t fully understand.

## We tried letting AI build a real marketplace

We tested [Cursor](https://www.cursor.com/), one of the most hyped AI coding tools right now. The goal? Build a complete **marketplace for handmade pottery**, with **buyers**, **sellers**, **admins**, **cart**, **wishlist**, **reviews**, **filters**, **dashboards**, etc.

Sounds doable, right?

Here's our prompt:

Build a full-featured online marketplace for handmade pottery using Next.js (frontend) and Express.js (backend). 
The platform must support three user roles: buyer, seller, and admin.

Authentication
- Email-based sign-up and login
- Secure sessions or JWT-based login persistence

Buyer features
- Browse all products on homepage
- Product details page with images, title, description, price, category, seller name, average rating
- Keyword search
- Filters: category, price range, rating
- Sorting: newest, price low to high, rating
- Add to cart and view cart
 -Simple checkout form (name, email, shipping address — no payment integration yet)

- Leave 1–5 star review with comment (only after purchase)
- View purchase history

Seller features
- Dashboard
- Create new listing: title, description, price, category, quantity, upload multiple images
- Edit/delete own listings

- View stats: number of views per listing

Admin features
- Admin login
- Admin dashboard with list of all users (option to block or delete) and list of all listings (option to remove or edit)
- Moderate chats and reviews
- View stats: most viewed listings, most sold items, top sellers

Other requirements
- Pagination for product listings (50 per page)
- Responsive UI
- Basic but clean layout
- Clear error messages on failed login or invalid inputs
- Clean, modular code structure, organised folders, reusable components

Generate all the code necessary to make this marketplace work from start to finish. All features must work.

Here’s what worked:

* **Cursor did generate a full project**, including pages for buyers, sellers, and admin, with a functioning product catalog and basic layout.

* **Product listing display** worked well. Products showed images, titles, prices, and ratings. Pagination and sorting (e.g. price low-to-high) functioned correctly.

* **Search** worked as expected, allowing users to find listings by keyword.

* **Leaving a review** was functional, the star rating and comment were saved and displayed on the listing page.

* **Add to cart** worked, and items could be reviewed in the cart before checkout.

* The **admin dashboard** was quite solid, with an overview of listings, users, and useful stats like most viewed and most sold items.

Here’s what didn’t:

* Cursor generated **separate pages for each user type** (admin, buyer, seller), but misunderstood the concept. These weren’t supposed to be separate routes, they were roles that should have had restricted access and different permissions based on user data.

* **Authentication was broken**. There was no logic to differentiate between user roles. Anyone could access any page just by knowing the route. That was a serious security flaw.

* **Creating listings didn’t work at all**. The UI was there, but nothing happened on submit. It required manual developer intervention.

* Many pages (like product details or listing pages) returned **500 or 404 errors** by default, and we had to patch them just to get the app running locally.

* **Validation was missing**. Required fields weren’t enforced, so empty forms could be submitted across the site.

* **Filters lacked core logic** like min/max price, and input validation was completely absent.

* **Chat was non-functional**. Instead of enabling buyer–seller conversations, it just showed a generic “Chat” page with no logic behind it.

* **[Stripe integration](https://stripe.com/)** was promised, but never actually implemented. Cursor didn’t ask for API keys or even explain that they were needed.

* Responsiveness was half-done. **Many layouts broke on mobile**, even though responsive design was explicitly requested.

## So... Can AI code your app?

**It can generate one**.

But will it work the way you expect? Will it cover all roles, all edge cases, security, logic, validations, responsiveness, user flow?

Not really... 😕

What you’ll get is a **prototype**, something that resembles a product, but cracks as soon as you start clicking...

Tools like **Cursor** can be useful for **quick drafts** and **visualizing early ideas**. But turning those drafts into a working, reliable app still takes experience, planning, and iteration.

**AI is a great assistant**. But it’s not your product team.

Can AI code my app?

Last week, our team at Ncoded Solutions tuned into the **Next.js Conference 2024**. Expectations were high for this conference, especially with the significant shifts in recent years like the **App Router** and **React Server Components**. There's been a lot of chatter online about this year’s Next.js conference, with some wondering if the updates were a bit light. But as we watched the sessions, it was clear that the focus was on strengthening stability, performance and scalability.

The big news? **Next.js 15 is finally here and stable!** It introduces some solid features that strengthen the framework with improved data handling, caching control and Turbopack stability. Let’s have a quick recap of this year’s conference and the best features of the new Next.js 15 version.

## Highlights from Next.js Conference 2024

### React Server Components
A standout session from Norwegian developer **Aurora Scharff** (Inmeta) showcased best practices for **React Server Components**. Through a [live demo](https://youtu.be/CvAySC5ex9c) of her interactive task manager app, built with **Next.js 15**, **Tailwind CSS**, and **Prisma**, she demonstrated how server-side rendering improves app performance by reducing JavaScript bundle sizes, enhancing interactivity, and enabling real-time streaming. 

Aurora also introduced **Partial Prerenderin**g — a technique that allows developers to prerender specific sections of a page, balancing performance with functionality by reducing server load. 

### Optimizing LCP with Partial Prerendering
**Wyatt Johnson**’s talk took **Partial prerendering (PPR**) further, focusing on its impact on **Core Web Vitals**, especially **Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)**. Using the eco-friendly “Eco Store” app as an example, Wyatt explained how PPR merges static and dynamic rendering. In static rendering, the initial page loads quickly but lacks real-time data, while dynamic rendering delivers the latest content but can leave users waiting as the server processes each request.

With PPR, Next.js builds a **static shell** of the page ahead of time, loading essentials like **CSS**, **JavaScript** and **fonts** directly from the edge for a near-instant initial view. At the same time, a request is sent to the server for live data, combining the speed of static elements with the interactivity of real-time updates. 

## Key Features of Next.js 15
Next.js 15 introduced some interesting features (check out the [Vercel's list](https://nextjs.org/blog/next-15)), and our team at Ncoded Solutions has already picked a few top favourites:

### Async request APIs for better data handling
One of the most impactful updates in Next.js 15 is the move to async request APIs. This means that server-side rendering doesn’t have to wait for all data before rendering, enabling faster load times and a more responsive user experience. This change affects the following APIs:
- **cookies**
- **headers**
- **draftMode**
- **params** (in layout.js, page.js, route.js, default.js, generateMetadata, generateViewport)
- **searchParams** (in page.js)

Although synchronous access is still available, the async approach will be the new standard.

### Improved caching semantics
Next.js used to be pretty aggressive regarding how it caches stuff and it could lead to some strange behaviours, sometimes causing outdated content. Now, Next.js 15 has changed its caching approach, moving from automatic caching to an **opt-in model**. 

**Fetch requests**, **GET route handlers** and **client navigations** now **prioritise fresh data over cached content**, ensuring pages automatically refresh when revisited. This change gives developers more control over when data is cached, making it easier to manage real-time data needs without risking outdated information, providing a smoother, more dynamic user experience.

### Full support for React 19
**React 19** compatibility is now **built into Next.js 15**, bringing support and new experimental hooks like **useActionState**, **useFormStatus** and **useOptimistic**. These hooks simplify state management for actions, improve real-time form tracking, and allow for optimistic updates, which are perfect for creating responsive UIs that update instantly while waiting for server data.

Next.js 15 also introduces support for the new experimental **React Compiler** from **Meta**. Designed to deeply understand JavaScript semantics and React rules, this compiler optimizes code by reducing the need for manual memoization with **useMemo** and **useCallback**. By adding automatic optimizations, the React Compiler makes code easier to maintain and less error-prone.

### More detailed hydration errors
Debugging hydration errors just became less painful! 🎉 
Next.js 15 now includes **more detailed hydration error messages**, showing the error messages that actually make sense and **exact source code** that caused the issue. This means less time spent hunting for bugs and diagnosing errors, and more time building cool stuff. We’re very happy about this change! 😄

### Stable Turbopack 
**Turbopack** is now **officially stable**, providing substantial speed improvements for development. By running **next dev --turbo**, developers can experience faster build times, hot refreshes, and server startup speeds. These improvements are particularly beneficial for larger applications, making the development process much smoother and more efficient.

- Up to **76.7%** faster local server setup
- Up to **96.3%** faster code updates with fast refresh
- Up to **45.8%** faster initial route compile without caching 

This feature is really awesome and let’s hope it becomes a default in some near future 🤞

### The new Form component
The new **<Form> component** in Next.js 15 is focused on forms that primarily have a function to navigate to another page – like search form. It enables:
- **Prefetching** – layout and loading UI are prefetched when the form is in view, so navigation is faster
- **client-side navigation** – shared layouts and client-side state are preserved on submission
- **progressive enhancement** – even if JavaScript hasn’t loaded yet or is disabled, the form still works via full-page navigation.

For example:

For forms that are used for submitting some data, we still need to use a regular form element. 

TypeScript Support for next.config.ts
TypeScript fans will appreciate the new support for next.config.ts. With TypeScript in the configuration file, developers now benefit from type-safety and autocomplete, making code less error-prone and easier to maintain. Example:

This tool helps you upgrade your codebase to the latest stable or prerelease versions. The CLI will update your dependencies, show available codemods, and guide you through applying them.

While it didn’t have the flashiest announcements, Next.js 15 comes packed with solid improvements in stability, performance, and scalability. ## Vercel

First things first, what is **Vercel**? 



No judgement here, but if you haven't heard of it yet, that's quite surprising… 🧐

Vercel is a big deal in the web development world because it makes deploying and managing web applications super easy. It’s a cloud based system that’s widely used by developers due to its seamless integration with popular frameworks and libraries like **Next.js**, **React**,** Angular** and **Vue.js**, providing a powerful and scalable environment for modern web projects. Actually, Vercel supports **over 35 frameworks/libraries**; you can find the full list .



The important thing is that your project needs to be hosted somewhere to be accessible to users on the web. In order to achieve that, it needs to be deployed to a server. Here are a few common options for doing this:

1. Host it on a **dedicated server**, separate from your backend.
2. Host it on the **same server** as your backend.
3. Host it on a **Platform-as-a-Service** (PaaS) like Heroku, Railway, Render, etc.

Each of these options requires considerable **setup and configuration**. This includes setting up authentication and networking to your local environment and possibly your backend server(s), caching your project globally for fast access, handling DNS to provide a user-friendly URL and more. While these tasks might seem overwhelming, they are crucial for a successful deployment.

**Vercel**, and its competition, are designed to simplify project deployment by automating many of these tasks, making the process as seamless as possible.

In the context of a **CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment)**, Vercel plays a key role in the deployment phase. It aims to make the software development process **faster** and more **efficient**.

## Continuous Integration (CI)
Continuous Integration involves frequently merging code changes into a shared repository. Automated testing and building ensure that the application functions correctly before deployment. These tasks can be automated using GitHub Actions:

GitHub Actions can run a suite of tests on your application every time you push new code, ensuring that your changes don’t break existing functionality. This helps in identifying and fixing bugs early in the development cycle.
GitHub Actions can also handle the build process, compiling your code into a production-ready format.

By automating these steps, CI reduces the risk of integration issues and improves the overall quality of the software.

## Continuous Deployment (CD)
Once your application has successfully passed all tests in the CI phase, it’s time for Continuous Deployment, where Vercel takes the spotlight:

Vercel automatically deploys the latest version of your application as soon as it passes the CI tests. This ensures that your production environment is always up-to-date with the latest code changes.
By integrating Vercel with GitHub Actions, any code merged into your main branch can trigger an automatic deployment, minimizing manual intervention and speeding up the release cycle.

> Simply put: CI is a set of practices performed as developers are writing code, while CD is a set of practices performed after the code is completed.

## GitHub Actions
GitHub Actions is a tool integrated with GitHub that allows you to **build**, **test** and **deploy** your code with ease. By setting up **workflows**, you can define a series of actions that run automatically in response to events in your repository, such as code pushes or pull requests.

[GitHub workflows](https://docs.github.com/en/actions/using-workflows) are part of the GitHub Actions and they’re automated processes that you can set up directly in your GitHub repository. Workflows allow you to automate a wide range of tasks, from running tests to deploying applications and sending notifications. They’re defined with YAML files in the .github/workflows folder of your project. Key components of workflows are: **triggers**, **jobs** and **steps**.

* **Triggers** specify events that trigger the workflow, such as pushes to a branch or pull requests.
* **Jobs** define a series of tasks that run on virtual machines. Each job contains multiple steps.
* **Steps** are individual tasks within a job, like checking out code, setting up environments, running tests or deploying applications.

Okay, now you’re ready to start our tutorial 👇🏼

## Step-by-step tutorial to automating deployments with Vercel and GitHub Actions
### Prerequisites
First of all, if you don’t have a project yet, you should create one as soon as possible. After your project is created, make your first commit and push it in order to link the project with your GitHub repository. 

### YAML files
In the root project folder, create a new folder named **.github** and a subfolder named **workflows**.

**For each pipeline or a workflow you want to create, you’ll need a separate YAML file inside of the workflows folder.**

In our case, we’ll make two: a **production** and a **preview** deployment pipeline, so let’s name the files accordingly: **production.yaml** and **preview.yaml**. 

In your new yaml file **.github/workflows/production.yaml**, copy and paste the following code:

For better understanding, we’ll explain each part of this file:

* **name** – represents the name of your pipeline (workflow)

* **env** – here you define environment variables that will be available in all jobs of a workflow. VERCEL_ORG_ID and VERCEL_PROJECT_ID are retrieved from GitHub Secrets to securely manage sensitive information.

* **on** – in order for workflow to be triggered automatically, we use on to define the appropriate events that trigger the workflow. 

For production, our production pipeline should start only when something is pushed to the main branch. Here, we specify every push into the repository, but then define a filter for certain branches.

* **jobs** – here we are describing what we need to perform in our workflow, and here it’s just one job – Deploy-Production job that runs on ubuntu-latest virtual machine.

* **steps** – a list of the steps or tasks that should be done within the job.

```

* The first step is usually to checkout to the repository.

     - name: Install Vercel CLI

* Then we install the Vercel CLI using npm (since we need it for deployment)

* Before we can use Vercel to build a project, we need to pull the environment configuration for the production environment from Vercel using the token stored in GitHub Secrets. This will save environment variables and project settings from a Vercel cloud to a local cache in a subfolder. You should pass ‘production’ as an environment and a token.

* Run vercel build which builds your project with Vercel CLIt. We pass a token for authentication.

This step deploys the prebuilt project artefacts to Vercel using the token stored in **GitHub Secrets**.  The **--prebuilt** flag is passed since we did a building in the previous step.

That’s it, the Production pipeline is all set up! 🚀

For the Preview pipeline, the file is pretty similar with some simple changes:

After you commit and push the changes to GitHub repository, in Actions section you’ll see something like this:

The pipeline is **running** (because we did a push to the **main** branch), but it failed. Why? Because the **variables** that are needed in the pipeline are **not present yet**.

In order to get those variables, we’ll need to create a Vercel project. 

### Create a Vercel project
Go to [vercel.com](vercel.com) and make a free account, if you don’t have one already. You can choose to authenticate either with a **Git provider** or by using an email. 

Vercel CLI needs an **API access token**, so in addition to that we need an org ID and a project ID of the project. 

Once you’re logged in, go to **Account Settings** > **Tokens** and create a new token.

Define a **name**, **scope** and an **expiration date** and then click on the **Create** button. Copy your token and go to your GitHub repository Settings and under Secrets and variables choose **Actions**. Create a new repository secret named **VERCEL_TOKEN** and paste your token in the **Secret section**.

Now we can create a Vercel project and we can do it using the Vercel CLI locally. 

First, install the Vercel CLI:

npm i -g vercel
```

Then login into a Vercel account:
```
vercel login
```

Create a Vercel project using:
```
vercel link 
```

This command will ask you a few questions:

Vercel **recognizes the framework automatically** so it suggests appropriate build and install commands for your project. You can modify these if you want, in this tutorial we won’t do it. 

The result of the **vercel link** command is the .vercel subfolder in your project. It contains the project.json file with **project** and **org IDs**.

Copy those two values and make two new secrets in your GitHub repository. The first one should be called **VERCEL_PROJECT_ID** and the second one **VERCEL_ORG_ID**. 

Our Vercel configuration is done. Now we can test out the pipelines!

### Run the pipelines
Let’s first try out the **Preview pipeline**. If you remember it will trigger when we make a push on **any brunch but the main**. So, let’s create a new branch, make some changes and push them. In your GitHub repository in **Actions** section you’ll see the Preview pipeline running:

To test our **Production pipeline** we can simply merge our new pull request into the main branch:

With everything set up, Vercel will automatically detect your future commits and seamlessly deploy your project.

You can make your pipelines more complex by adding **automated testing**. Just add this peace of code into your yaml file, before the build step:

This way, every change gets a thorough check-up before going live, giving you peace of mind and extra confidence in your deployments. 

Automatic deployment in Extreme Programming (XP)

# Melita - The first woman of Ncoded (Frontend Engineer)

As the **first woman** to sign a contract at Ncoded Solutions, Melita had a really interesting experience. She was the one to break the ice. Initially, as the only female, she witnessed the team's effort to be polite and not make some of their usual internal jokes in her presence. But, the old habits proved hard to shake, so they made the '**izvini-melita**' (sorry-melita) sticker on **Slack** as a sign of apology 😅

>Since I was a little girl, I didn't have a clear picture of what I'm going to be when I grow up, but I knew that I was good at **natural sciences** and I had a great love for **mathematics**, so that guided me through schooling, and later university, where everything became clear what profession I would pursue. It all clicked, and my **creative side** and **feeling for aesthetics** naturally guided me to Frontend development. 

#### What your favorite thing about Ncoded?
>The thing I love most about Ncoded is the **amazing energy among the team**.

>For me, **the most important thing when you come to work is that you look forward to it and that you feel good while you are there.**

#### In your opinion, what's the biggest misconception about women in tech, and what's your response to it?

> I don't agree with the idea that tech is just for men; it's more about interest levels, not capability. **We're all equally capable**, regardless of gender. And for those who don't think so, I have only one thing to say: **We are women, we are bad bi***hes**! 💪

## Natalija - Frontend Engineer

Meet Natalija, our beloved Frontend Engineer with a serious coffee habit ☕️  and a passion for **clean code**. She loves to **optimize code**, and make the code more **streamlined** and **efficient**. Besides her coding skills, you'll always find her with perfectly done long nails 💅 

> During my fourth year of undergraduate studies at the **Faculty of Electronic Engineering**, I decided to shape my career as a Frontend Engineer at Ncoded Solutions, in order to apply my previous knowledge and **gain new practical experience**.

> My journey sums up in a single word: **unexpected** 😅

> During my studies, I was very insecure about my knowledge and skills, I constantly questioned myself whether this was the profession I belonged to. I always felt like I was missing something...

#### How do you balance a healthy lifestyle with your busy schedule as a Frontend Engineer at Ncoded Solutions?
>Sports have been a big part of my life since I was a kid. It helps me clear my mind and feel good both physically and mentally. Starting my day with a workout is a must for me because it boosts my focus and productivity at work. Making fitness a regular thing in my routine helps me balance my workload while taking care of myself 💪 



## Jovana - QA Specialist
Meet Jovana, our QA specialist at Ncoded, who just hit her one-year mark with us 🥳 She's friendly and fun but takes her testing role very seriously. Trust us, veeery seriously... When testing begins, you'll see her serious side, but we must admit it - she plays a key role in making sure our products are top-notch.
Sometimes she's our in-house DJ, playing music that keeps our spirits high and our workspace lively. Jovana is also known for her love of online shopping, often having packages waiting to be opened 🛍️ 

**Can you share a funny reaction when you reported a big bug?**
>The thing that led me to QA is my passion for problem-solving, and I found joy in making sure that things were done correctly. My journey of becoming a QA Specialist at Ncoded Solutions involved education, experience and passion. Here, I gained the skills in automation, performance testing and user acceptance testing. 
Whenever I report a big bug, the reactions are always hilarious. But, one of my colleague (not pointing any fingers) has a classic response: 

1. Phase 1: "I don't believe your screenshots, you're making it up, show me where the problem is" 
2. Phase 2: "That's a frontend thing" he says, knowing full well he's a backend developer...
3. Phase 3: He finally accepts the fact that the bug does exist 🙏 
4. Phase 4: After fixing the bug, he strolls over to me and says, "I don't know what bug you reported. Everything seems to be working just fine"

## Jelena - Project Manager

Meet Jelena, our Project Manager at Ncoded. She's known for her big smile and the joy she brings to the office. Even when her role demands her to be strict, she's still polite - she just can't help it. 
Jelena is a woman of many interests—reading a good book, having the long walks with her cute dog Lala 🐕, admiring the nature, listening to insightful podcasts, exploring new project management strategies, cooking—she always has something interesting going on. She also looks after us with daily vitamin C boosts!

>After graduation, I was feeling a bit lost among countless job ads and advices from friends. It was like finding a hidden treasure map without knowing exactly where to go. I've always liked to organize and put things in order, so somewhere along the way it became clear what I wanted to do.

**What strategies do you use at Ncoded Solutions to keep your team motivated and on track?**
>As a PM, my job involves handling many challenges and tasks. Building trust with clients and the team is essential, and clear and open communication is key to building this trust. I listen to concerns, support my team, and acknowledge their efforts because people are central to every project's success, and I want them to know they're appreciated 🫶🏻

#### What inspired you to  pursue a career in Software Development at Ncoded Solutions?
> To be completely honest, I can’t say that I’ve always known what career I wanted to pursue, but I can say that I never intended to become a Front End Developer 😅

>Ncoded Solutions is involved in a **diverse range of projects**, both internal and client-driven.  I've had the privilege of contributing to several of these projects during my time here. Over the past six months, I've been engaged in a project that required me to handle **both web and mobile development** responsibilities. This experience is something that I'm most proud of, because it allowed me to challenge myself and to learn new technologies and methodologies.

#### What inspired you to become a Software Engineer?
>In my case, it wasn't a thing that inspired me, but rather a person. My journey started with my older brother's stories, along with his insights into software, hardware, and software engineering in general. Hearing about his achievements, I made my decision to follow his footsteps and enter the world of tech. What's more, I learned that women are just as capable as men in this field, thanks to my brother's encouragement and the inspiring stories he shared. 


#### What do you most like about working at Ncoded Solutions?
>What I love most about working at Ncoded Solutions is the **incredible people**. From day one, I've been surrounded by a team of **friendly**, **funny**, **smart** and genuinely **supportive** individuals who are always ready to lend a helping hand. #### What's your proudest moment and achievement at Ncoded Solutions?
>One of my proudest  achievements has been my continued involvement in a **significant project**. Securing my first contract as a Junior Front End Engineer provided me with the opportunity to contribute to this project from the outset. Working alongside a great mentor and a team of exceptional developers, I have been able to play a role in its development. This ongoing experience not only validates my skills but also allows me to continually grow and learn within the supportive environment of Ncoded Solutions.

One funny thing about that project is that when I initially joined, the project lead humorously welcomed me and another colleague with the words, "_Welcome to the best team in Ncoded, as said by Milan Starinac_" So, needless to say, I'm thrilled to be a part of what's considered the best team here!

#### What inspired you to pursue a career in tech and become a Software Engineer?
> What inspired me the most was the opportunity to be a part of **innovation** and a **dynamic digital world**. The challenge of **problem solving** and the endless opportunities for creative exploration and creation were crucial in my decision.

> That's also why I want to pursue my master's degree. I seek for even greater knowledge and development and I believe that gaining some advanced skills, through the master's program, will help me to more effectively solve the challenges I'll face in my career.

> What has always motivated me to become a Frontend Engineer was **instant** gratification of **seeing visual results of my work**. I started my career here at Ncoded where I was able to hone my skills through hands-on projects and continuous learning.

Routing in Next.js is a **fundamental aspect of building dynamic web applications**. Next.js provides a powerful routing system that allows developers to define **routes** and **navigate between different pages** seamlessly. 

In version **Next.js 13**, a new **App Router** concept is introduced which is built on **React Server Components**, supporting:
* **shared layouts**
* **nested routing**
* **loading states**
* **error handling** 

The App Router works in a directory called `app` which works along with `pages` directory to allow for incremental adoption. Each folder represents a route that maps to a URL segment. A special `page.js` file is used to make route segments publicaly accessible. 

For example, a file named `page.js` in the `dasboard` subdirectory  inside of `app` corresponds to the `/about` route in the application.

Next.js also supports **dynamic routes**, allowing developers to create routes with parameters that can be accessed programmatically. By using brackets (`[]`) in the folder name, developers can define dynamic segments in the URL. For example, a blog could include the following route **pages/blog/[slug].js** where **[slug]** is the **Dynamic Segment** for blog posts.
